Twitter Goes Golden
Some people are loving the new Twitter.com. Other’s are less concerned, given the vast number of Twitter apps. I personally use Tweetie (now a Twitter-owned product) far more than browser-based Twitter, but i must say, the redesign of Twitter.com does appeal to me much more than its predecessor. Even with Twitter’s extreme simplicity – this is of course what makes it such a useful tool – it’s still good to see even just a slight increase in features, along with some thought given to the user experience itself. Finally, I’m seeing a reason to use browser-based Twitter, but still not convinced I’d use it exclusively.
Twitter.com now follows a grid system based on the Golden Ratio.
Golden Ratio (or Golden Spiral) is based on the Fibonacci Number, a mathematical sequence that appears naturally in both science and nature. The Golden Spiral is a special type of logarithmic spiral. The length of the side of one square divided by that of the next smaller square is the Golden Ratio.
