The Model, Seu Jorge & Almaz, and What Matters Most

Brazilian musician and actor, Seu Jorge, is the central character in ‘The Model’, a two-part short film directed by Kahlil Joseph and released by Now-Again Records (Stones Throw) and What Matters Most. The film is inspired by Jorge’s recently released album Seu Jorge and Almaz. If Seu is familiar, well it’s likely because of (1) his fame in his native Brazil, or (2) his feature film roles in both City of God (2002) and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) where he played Pele.

Sartorialist Explains his Visual Life

Scott Schumann, better known as street fashion photographer & blogger, The Sartorialist, takes Intel on a walking tour of his (much desired) typical day in NYC. Its an inspirational look how Schumann stumbled into what he does today; snapping photos of the fashionably elite. It also shows how anyone who pursues their passion can go from obscurity to notoriety by simply doing the thing they love, working at it, and using the tools they have at their disposal.

This beautifully shot video shows an honest, straightforward, and accessible look at Schumanns work. It’s part of Intel’s Visual Life campaign and a fantastic example of branded content. As Intel puts it, ‘The people you know, the places you visit, the things that inspire you… together, these represent your unique Visual Life, and we want to celebrate it!’

Dior Deception or Blind Date in Paris?

The perfume (or should i say cologne) makes the man, right? Jude Law plays the lead in a Guy Ritchie directed short film for Dior Homme. I’ll reserve calling this viral, but it’s certainly a beautifully shot piece of work, and an ambiguous sequence of events.

Shall we wait on Guy Ritchie’s feature length edit?

Massimo Vignelli; A Documentary by John Madere

Photographer John Madere captures Massimo Vignelli in the first of a series of short documentaries on influential people in the business of design.

“Good design lasts longer. Bad design is very ephemeral. I’m not interested in ephemeral design.”
